In an earlier post, I highlighted 11 entertaining bookish podcasts. This time I’d like to share a few podcasts I love that aren’t about books per se (though they often have bookish connections–as in the host or the guest or both are authors). I’m gonna call them life-changing podcasts.  Enjoy!

1. The Lazy Genius:  This podcast is directed to people responsible for managing a house. The host Kendra shares tips for working smarter, not harder. Episodes cover meal planning, chores, goal setting, time management, and more.  Also, consider subscribing to Kendra’s newsletter–super engaging and helpful.

2. Grit N’ Grace: The audience for this podcast is Christian women.  Cheri and Amy usually interview an author of some sort of being a better person book in one episode and then the two of them discuss how the author’s advice related to their lives and challenges.  They are very approachable, authentic, and lovely women.

3. Pantsuit Politics:  The audience for this podcast is people interested in politics and hearing civil discourse.  The hosts are Sarah and Beth, one is progressive and the other is a moderate conservative, so they don’t agree on many political issues.  However, they respectfully listen and learn from each other when they disagree.  Sarah and Beth do find common ground in their dislike for President Trump and their belief in feminism.

4. Stories that Empower: The host Sean interviews people about their life stories.  He focuses on their challenges and setbacks and how they overcame them. The podcast is uplifting, interesting, and focused on sending a message of community.

5. Unlocking Us: This podcast launches March 16, 2020. Why then am I recommending a podcast that I’ve never listened to? Well, it’s Brene Brown. If you already know her, then that’s probably enough of an explanation. If you don’t, I’ll just say that I really like her books and videos, so I’m thinking the podcast is going to be slam dunk.

Let’s have a podcast party in the comments.  Share your favorite life-changing podcasts below!
